An expression of artistic independence allows leaves, fruit
and flowers, regardless of season, to co-exist in the W10-2 Miniature
Cherry Tree. Plentiful flowers of frosty pink and white opalescent
glass flow from brass branches of the crown to the uneven bottom
border. Overlapping a few petals, to form an uneven surface will
make your shade typical of an original Tiffany lamp shade.
This lamp is a composite reproduction of original Pendant
Cherry Tree Tiffany lamps as pictured in Dr. Neustadt's book
"The Lamps of Tiffany", has three pattern repeats,
with the same overall dimensions and intricate detail as the
originals.
Antique Tiffany style lamps were constructed of dense opalescent
stained glass that masks the light source and shows color by
reflected light when the light is turned off.
This tree limb filigree is made of cast brass. The preparation
and use of cast brass filigree and cast brass vase caps is detailed
in Stained
Glass Crafting (below).
