Antique Tiffany style lamps were constructed of dense opalsecent
stained glass that masks the light source and shows color by
reflected light when the light is turned off.
The tulips in this lamp are somewhat stylized, most blossoms
showing just three of their six petals. Blossoms, 6 in each repeat,
are supported on slender stalks amid a profusion of foilage.
This shade is a composite reproduction of an original Tiffany
lamp shade as featured in "Lamps of Tiffany" by Egon
Neustadt.
